Lighthouse Tai Chi® provide taster sessions, workshops, talks & demonstrations for all ages.

We are professional tai chi and qigong instructors, with additional teaching and coaching qualifications and many years of experience teaching people of all ages.


Bookings are available to provide sessions from 30 minutes to half day workshops and tailored to your requirements.


David and Helena are experienced instructors, who have worked with many primary and secondary schools and with various businesses to provide students and staff wellbeing activities.



Lighthouse sessions are designed to be fun and motivational, to boost self-confidence, improve co-ordination and balance, non-competitive and age appropriate, and tailored to the theme or focused activity as required.


We aim to have everyone beaming with vitality and enjoyment.

World Tai Chi Day 2023 Event World Tai Chi Day is a global event held every year, on the last Saturday in April. At 10am local time, 100s of groups in over 90 countries worldwide will be doing tai chi. Click on the picture to go to the organization's website. Embodying Tai Chi in the Sword by Judith van Drooge

Our guest blog for August is by  Judith Van Drooge.  Judith is a very accomplished tai chi instructor whom we have admired for many years, and is particularly known to us for her tai chi sword expertise and passion for sharing.  We asked her to provide a short, personal article about her feelings and experience of tai chi sword, with some links for you to find out more. She has practised Yang Lineage Tai Chi Chuan with Luis Molera and Grandmaster William C.C. Chen since 1999, with great pleasure and devotion.
